Keeping the laws, statutes, and commandments laid out by the Creator is like following a sacred roadmap designed to lead us towards a life of fulfillment, harmony, and righteousness. These guidelines serve as moral compasses, guiding our actions and shaping our character to reflect the divine virtues of love, compassion, and justice.
The Law Is Perfect
Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
When we honor these laws with commitment, we align ourselves with the divine order of the Creator. By upholding his principles, we cultivate an environment of trust, respect, and integrity, laying the foundation for a society built on righteousness and mutual respect.
The Law Is The Truth
Psalm 119:141-144
141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts. 142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. 144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
Serving the Creator with our hearts goes beyond mere adherence to rules; it is an expression of devotion and reverence for the source of all life. It is a recognition of our interconnectedness with the Holy One and a willingness to surrender our egos in service to a higher purpose. When we serve the Creator with sincerity and humility, we open ourselves to the transformative power of divine grace, allowing it to illuminate our hearts and guide our actions.
Be Not Wise In Thine Own Eyes: Fear the Creator, and Depart From Evil
Proverbs 3:1-8
3 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Prayer is our lifeline to the Creator, a sacred communion that transcends time and space. In times of need and sickness, prayer becomes a source of solace and strength, offering comfort to the weary soul and healing to the afflicted body. Through prayer, we acknowledge our dependence on the Creator’s mercy and seek refuge in the shelter of the Creator’s holiness. It is a reminder that we are never alone, that the Creator is always with us, ready to offer comfort and guidance in our time of need.
See: Hezekiah King of Juda Prayers: The Book of 2 Kings Chapters 19-20
In praying for salvation, we surrender our fears and doubts to the Creator, trusting in the promise of the Creator’s mercy and redemption. Whether facing illness, adversity, or uncertainty, we find solace in the knowledge that the Creator is our only saviour.
Beside The Creator There Is No Saviour
Isaiah 43:10-12
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
So let us keep the laws, statutes, and commandments with diligence and reverence, serving the Creator with all our hearts. And in times of need and sickness, let us turn to prayer for salvation, trusting in the mercy and of the Holy One of Isreal to guide us through the darkest of nights and into the light of a new dawn.
New Covenant
Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
The Conclusion Of The Whole Matter
Ecclesiastes 12:8-14
8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. 9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. 10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. 11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. 12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
The Ten Commandments
Exodus 20:1-20
1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s. 18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
